Whiskers Small Pet Boarding, est. 2022, is located in Willenhall, West Midlands, WV12 4LT. We are approximately 4 miles from Wolverhampton and 4 miles from Walsall, and 30 minutes from Birmingham International Airport (BHX).
We provide a home away from home experience for Rabbits and Guinea Pigs in our indoor and outdoor, luxury, themed, heated and non-heated boarding facilities. Whether you are going on holiday, have ill health or have a business trip, we will be happy to accommodate your fluffy loved ones! We have no minimum or maximum length of stay.
Since opening in July 2022, we have accommodated over 70 pets! We have 100% 5-star reviews from happy customers!
We are fully insured with Pet Business Insurance – a certificate of insurance is displayed by the entrance to the boarding room and Whiskers Warren!
I am also CRB/DBS checked, proof of this can be shown too!
I am currently in college studying my second year of a Level 3 Diploma in Animal Care and Management! This course has provided me with the experience of caring for a wide range of exotic and domestic species, how to manage a boarding facility, run a land based business as well as expanding my current knowledge on caring for Rabbits, Guinea Pigs and other small animals.
I have always been passionate about caring for animals! As a child, I grew up surrounded by a number of different animals - we had a family dog, several goldfish, a few Rabbits and a hamster! I regularly stay with family in Cumbria near a farm, so I am also used to being around livestock. I regularly volunteer at a dog rescue in Penkridge, I am the media creator for Bunnies and Piggies in Need UK, and I work at an Alpaca experience farm near Albrighton!

Our Main Boarding Room in Our Indoor Facilities - from £6 per day.
Our main boarding room is located indoors, in an insulated room attached to our home. The room is covered by CCTV and is alarmed overnight. Our pens are purpose-built for Rabbits and Guinea Pigs. This room is available all year round for bookings.
We have two cube pens and two hutch pens available to book.
All Rabbits who board with us MUST be up-to-date with vaccinations!

We offer a grooming service for Rabbits. This service is available for both guests and non-boarding guests. Sessions are private, so your rabbits will have our full attention.
All sessions vary in time depending on fur type, condition of the fur and how well they like to be handled.

All Rabbits should be free from parasites (Mites, Fleas and Lice).
All Rabbits should be vaccinated against Myxomatosis, RVHD and RVHD2.

We are based in Willenhall, West Midlands, WV12. We often get mixed up with the Willenhall in Coventry - we can recommend a boarding facility from this area if this happens!
Are you insured?
We are fully insured with Pet Business Insurance - a certificate is displayed in our main boarding room and Whiskers Warren.
Where can I park at drop off and collection?
There is ample street parking available, if possible, please park over the end of our drive or infront of our wall. This also allows a shorter distance to carry belongings.We ask that you park considerately and do not block in any of our neighbours.
Do you send updates?
Yes I do! I send updates via Whatsapp. I cannot guarantee they will be sent daily, but I will try my best.
Is your accommodation secure?

We have four pens in a heated, insulated room attached to our home. This room is our main boarding room, home to our cube and hutch pens - suitable for both indoor and outdoor Rabbits and Guinea Pigs. This room is open to bookings all year round. The room is alarmed and is under 24/7 CCTV surveillance.
We have three luxury, themed pens in our non-heated Whiskers Warren, located in our secure garden. Our home and all access points to our garden are under 24/7 CCTV surveillance. Whiskers Warren is suitable for indoor and outdoor rabbits that are large breeds or large groups. The cabin is open to bookings from May to September only.

Whiskers Small Pet Boarding Terms and Conditions 2024
Privacy Notice
Whiskers Small Pet Boarding will treat all personal information provided confidential and will never pass client information on to any third parties. The only time client information will be used, is in the event of a medical emergency, where information provided upon booking may be passed to the veterinary practice OR if your pet is abandoned at our facilities.
Deposits
Any booking made as of Monday 1st January 2024 will require a 50% deposit to secure the booking. A booking will not be created on our system until we have received this deposit. We will no longer reserve dates for you prior to receiving the deposit, it will be based on a first come, first served basis.
All deposits are non-refundable but are transferable if the booking is cancelled with a minimum of three weeks' notice. Any transferable deposits will depend on availability and will expire after 6 months.
Payment
The remaining 50% of the balance will be due on the 1st of the month the booking is taking place in. A reminder email will be sent out up to 7 days before this due date. Failure to pay the remaining balance by the 2nd of the month will result in a cancellation on our behalf with a no-refund and non-transferable policy on the deposit.
All payments must be sent by BACS unless otherwise agreed with Martha.
Cancellations
If you wish to cancel your booking, please contact Martha as soon as possible. If you provide a minimum of three weeks’ notice, the deposit can be transferred to a new booking, you have six months to make a new booking before the deposit becomes void. If you provide less than three weeks’ notice, the deposit is strictly non-refundable or transferable. If the full balance has been paid, 50% of the balance will be refunded, but the 50% deposit will not be refunded.
Arrival
Please ensure you have arrived with all the appropriate items found on the checklist. If the dry food you provided runs out, we will purchase another bag, you will be expected to pay for this on collection, a second receipt for the bag of food will be obtained for both you and our records.
Arrival and Departure Times
It is essential you arrive within our opening times, at the agreed time stated on your confirmation email or text. If our opening times do not suit your holiday, please consider adding a day either side of your holiday or arrange for a trusted friend or family member to drop off and collect your pets – if this is the case, we will need written permission off yourself to say who is picking your pets up.
If you are delayed on your way to drop off or collect your pets, you must let us know as soon as possible, with an estimated time of arrival.
If you are delayed on your way to collect your pets and you will not reach us within our opening times, we charge standard daily rates for an additional day, and you will be expected to collect them the following day. You will be required to pay the additional daily rate at collection. If availability allows, your pets will remain in their original boarding pen, if not, we have a contingency plan in place.
If you wish to collect your pets earlier than the original booking dates, we will NOT refund you for the ‘unused’ days – you still must arrive within our opening times.
Updates
We send updates to you via WhatsApp whilst your pet is in our care. We cannot guarantee these will be sent daily - although we will try our best. If you have not received an update from us and are wondering how they’re doing, please just send a text and we will be more than happy to get back to you as soon as possible.
Carica Pets
The booking software we use is a simple but effective way to create bookings, check our availability and update any relevant information you think we will need to know. If medical or dietary information changes during the time from making the booking to when the booking takes place, please update any relevant information before your pets stay, so we are made aware.
Pet Health
You must make us aware of your pets health information and should explain all previous and current medical conditions to us.
You must ensure your pets are in good health and free from any parasites before they arrive at our boarding facilities.
Rabbit Vaccinations
All rabbits must be vaccinated against Myxomatosis, RVHD1 and RVHD2. We must be shown proof of this before the booking commences. A clear photograph of the vaccination booklet should be sent to us or uploaded to your pets profile on Carica Pets. The owner details, batch number and date given should be in one single photograph, if possible.
All Rabbits should hold a valid vaccination record to board in our facilities, if they are not currently vaccinated, they must be vaccinated at least three weeks before arrival.
Medical Emergencies
If your pets show signs of illness during their stay with us, we will get them to the nearest veterinary practice as soon as possible. We will make all effort to contact you and/or the emergency contact and will keep you up to date with what is discussed at the vets.
All medical fees that occur during your pets stay with us are expected to be paid by yourself upon collection.
Abandonment
Should you decide to abandon your pets with us at the end of their stay, we will contact you and the emergency contact on multiple occasions throughout a 48-hour period. If we gain no response, we reserve the right to rehome your animal to a local rescue of our choice. We will make no effort to disclose the location of this rescue to you. Your name and contact details will be passed on to the rescue.
Liability
Whiskers Small Pet Boarding accepts no liability for the death of your animals whilst under our care. Whiskers Small Pet Boarding accepts no liability for any injuries sustained whilst on the premises. There are no licensing laws or regulations for small animal boarding, therefore you leave your pets under the care of Whiskers Small Pet Boarding at your own risk.
